Lafont


The family story began in 1923 when Louis Lafont opened an optical boutique in the Madeline area in Paris, France. Once retired, Louis’ son Jean assumed responsibility of his father’s business.

The year was 1972 when Phillippe, Louis’ grandson along with his wife Laurence created their own brand, Les Lunettes Lafont . It was then that the Lafont brand was created.

In 2012 after four generations and five optical shops added to their name, today Lafont is a top designer of unique and stylish frames. Thomas Lafont, chief designer for the brand incorporates the heritage of French lifestyle, while celebrating Parisian elegance, and blends this with technical knowledge and the use of the highest quality materials to create the essence of Lafont.

Over 220 color options exemplify the Lafont philosophy: “A frame is a frame, but the color is what makes the true difference.”
